Board of Directors

Each local Childhood Foundation has its own Board of Directors. For more information, please read here: Childhood Brazil, Childhood Germany and Childhood USA.

The Swedish Board of Directors normally meets three times per year. The members of the Board are appointed by the Board.

The Board comprises a minimum of four and a maximum of 24 members. Two members of the Board are appointed by the founder H.M. Queen Silvia. The Board appoints one member from within its ranks to serve as Chairman. The Chairman is appointed for three years. The Chairman may be re-elected for an additional mandate period. Other members are appointed for one year. Board members may be re-elected after their mandate period ends.

The process of finding suitable candidates is led by the Chairman of the Board and decisions are made by the Board.
