Childhood prevents child sexual abuse and exploitation. We do so by identifying gaps in children’s safety systems and developing impact-driven solutions that empower and protect those most at risk. We drive progress through long-term partnerships with pioneering practitioners, grassroots organizations, companies, foundations, and other stakeholders committed to the same objective: a world where no child is sexually abused.
We scout ideas and invest resources and expertise in innovations, method development, and cross-sector collaborations that improve safeguarding across a child’s ecosystem — from family and community settings to local and global systems. Alongside this, we advocate and build capacity to increase awareness and strengthen knowledge among professionals, decision-makers, and communities, contributing to sustained, systemic change for children.
In 2025 we worked with 133 projects and programs contributing to global progress in strengthening the safety of children. Several of them with the potential to create lasting systemic change for children. In fact, two-thirds of all multi-year projects completed in 2025 did just that.
During the year we reached several important milestones in this long-term work: state-funded child advocates in Sweden, a commitment to federal Childhood-Haus funding in Germany, and an online protection law in Brazil.
