World Childhood Foundation prevents child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our international office is located in Stockholm, Sweden. From Sweden we work in Cambodia, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Thailand and Ukraine. We also have local offices in Brazil, Germany och the USA.

Paula Guillet de Monthoux

Secretary General

Paula has been the Secretary General of Childhood since 2015. Prior to that, she worked internationally for many years on issues related to children’s rights and development, including holding several leadership roles at UNICEF. From 2013 to 2015, she served as the CEO of SOS Children’s Villages in Denmark. Since 2020, she has been the Chair of the Swedish Fundraising Association, Giva Sverige.

Britta Holmberg

Britta is a political scientist with focus on Eastern Europe and Slavic languages, and holds a master’s degree in the best interests of the child and human rights. She has extensive experience in international development work, including roles at Sida and the International Unit of the School of Social Work.

She is a trained lawyer, speaks seven languages, and has extensive experience in international development work.

Åsa is thematically responsible for our family-strengthening initiatives and the protection of children with disabilities. She oversees our work in Cambodia and South Africa and leads the development of internal child protection procedures. Åsa is a political scientist with extensive experience in international child protection work, including in disaster-affected areas.
